Traditional Nyonya Cookies

Below is a traditional nyonya cookies called kue kapit or love letters. It used to be served during the Chinese New Year celebration. Over time, however, kue kapit has become popular among the Malays too and has become a common feature during Hari Raya.


This is how the kue kapit's mould looks like.

And a friend of mine has a mini version made into a pendant.
